how to limit frames per second?

Hello!

Is there a cheat available to reduce the maximum frames per second for example to 25? That may sound as a stupid question but it is necessary for me to record a game play with synchron audio and video.

it may be cl_maxfps "x"

What're you using to record? I'd suggest FRAPS - it lets you record at 25, 30. 50 and 60 fps and its sync the audiowith a problem.

be careful, though - since it encodes in real-time the uncompressed video makes teh fiels VERY big.

i recorded a far cry ckip at half resolution, about 2.5 minutes long, and it was almost 1gb.
