People finally settled down, when Scott popped out telling us the game is still being developed, posted a new screen, teased stuff... you guys know the rest. Until there's no connection with what's said by George and Scott, it's hard to stop thinking, hoping, dreaming, or call it how you want. What's the point in Scott teasing the game if we can't know anything?

I didn't pick up any "offensiveness" in there and I think you made yourself pretty clear. I have to partly agree with you. When the dev team was let go and the studio shut down I thought "well thats the nail in the coffin...for a while at least." Then the lawsuit even further entrenched that thought in my mind...

Now bring in all the teasing from Scott on Facebook...He's leading all the fans on ... and if it comes out to be some giant #$^@-tease and nothing comes of it, the backlash is going to result in the loss of pretty much everyone thats followed Duke through thick and thin. You simply don't do that after this long, meaning that he's feeding tidbits of information without good reason. To do so would be slapping everyone in the face.

Personally I think it's flat out wrong to lead fans on with little pieces of information here and there without any solid information. Some people say, "Wow, look, the studio and everyone in it got scrapped - is that enough for you to believe it's over?" And then everyone sees what Scott is posting on FB and....well what do people believe? I think it's pretty far-fetched to believe this is all a hoax and I do not personally believe that. I do believe everyone got canned. But what happened since? To be? Not to be?

I don't mean to have a sour or snide attitude here because I don't at all. I understand there's a lawsuit involved, but bottom line is this: Put up or shut up. It's very simple.

If the trendsetting Take-Two decides to continue there strategy with impairment of Duke Nukem and 3D Realms, this year's E3 could see even more anger, confusion and delay.

It has been argued that the alleged court date for the case between 3D Realms and Take-Two could be in the middle of the year, somewhere around the time of E3. Say that this is not the case and that the court date is eventually postponed some months. What effects could this have upon Take-Two's performance at E3 seeing as they would have to probably fend off some unwelcome questions? Considering that major video game sites such as IGN, GameTrailers, GameSpot and similar are usually documenting live from the show, there could be many raised eyebrows about this suggested scenario, and that would not be good for Take-Two's reputation.

I might be attending E3 this year and I'm hoping to dig something up about all this hiatus. But what do you think, if this whole thing continues without a visible end (before June), could Take-Two eventually be forced to do something about it (drop the charges, allow 3D Realms to release media etc.)?

I think that it is a rather bold thing of Take-Two to attend at E3 because of what has been going on for some time. Who knows, perhaps it's done and that E3 will be the place where Duke can park his bricks.

If Joe is right, then that's even more reason to back Take 2 in the court case. If we can't take a hint that 3DR is up feces creek with no hope of finishing DNF, I see no fault in what Take 2 is doing. Especially with all the crap that SM is teasing us with.

well I said I will quit checking these forums every day if we don't have some substential news by January, and I'm still here. Although I'm veeerrry confident that we will see DNF this year, I wouldn't jump of a bridge if its get delayed to summer 2011. As SphinX said, I'm used to it.

I have to add. Seing back to 2005, when I joined these forums for the first time... checking them every single day often multiple times, with all the up and downhill development in the last 5 years...seing the light at the end of the tunnel...and then the lawsuit happening (that just needed to happen, in the sight of DNF's unusual development history).
Can it get any worser? No, its all uphill from now.

If we are lucky 3DR has the media for the resolve of the court case already prepared...(George having a ton of work to do and finishing it, Scott teasing us with D-Day and a some kind of trailer)

But I think even if its not setlled that he doesn't jerk around with us for lols. He is a game loving businessman with lot of creativity! He also is a very nice guy to talk to. Why would he jerk us after all the mess that happened? He would loose potential customers too, most importantly the biggest fan base out there.

Scott is just a genious that is bound to some business stuff lately. He would love to release some big news!

It's very lolable. 3DR has been in the shit for a few months shy of a year now (I know pretty fast year) and you guys are still holding on for the ******* game. It's not coming. I know it sucks.
