'Exception' Error

Hi. I got MP2 the other day, it seemed to run fine until a few days ago. It produces the following error a few seconds after loading my save game:

Exception:
unable to read data from "\data\database\Sounds\tv_shows\lords_and_ladies_e p1.wav"
Closing...
-------------------
MP2 closes after hitting OK. The file that it can't read is different just about everytime. Usually either a .txt or .wav. I assume that those are files in the data3.cab on the game CD. I've cleaned and cleaned it, I've reinstalled twice, but alas no dice.
Any help/suggestions is/are appreciated.

Looks like you have a faulty CD... or use scandisk or something to check for bad sectors on your hard drive.
