I have taken Llama Gibbz's challenge and made a quick instagib gun(not exactly what he had in mind but...)
iv tested it in single player and it works, have to go shopping and dont have time to figrue out how to bypass my firewall and setup a server yet.

This mod turns the regular rifle into an instagib weapon.
-picking up any other weapon will change to that weapon unless you have that option turned off in multi player(recommended to turn off).

have you looked at the soul gun script?
its to complicated for my scripting ability.

also, since you start with the regular gun its faster to make one with it.

Just read the thread, and made an instagib with the lightning leech gun and made it so that "One shot one kill unless your at 200% health,then 2 hits".
But im not sure the gibbing will have any affect in multiprey. I think they've disabled gibbing in mp, but i might be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

Instagib is supposed to be one shot one kill, health powerups aren't allowed. Hence the "instant" portion of the name.

I dont think your instagib gun will work like a real instagib should gib.

instagib is known for:
1. all players spawn with it in hand
2. infinite ammo
3. instant kill, no exeptions.
4. fires like a rail gun (lightning is ok i guess)

and your mod, you have to accualy pick it up then after that you have to find the proper ammo for it, once you do it runs out.

just my 2 cents thou.

if we can make a gun with the features iv listed abuve it would be a true instagib.

then after that we need to find a way to remove all the powerups in the maps (they arnt realy needed in an instagib mod.)

this one replaces the rifle entirely, as you can see in the video you spawn with it in your hands.

it will do 999 damage, enuff to kill an elephant :P

as an added bonus you can also zoom in and "silent snipe"
also this baby shoots through portals "NO ESCAPE FROM DEATH"

to bad i have a router and it has a built in firewall, i cant bypass so i cant set up a server.

I just did exactly what llama-gibbz asked for. He asked for

"One shot one kill unless your at 200% health,then 2 hits"

Read it in his post. If don't know if this does qualify for an instagib or not, but that's what he asked for.

I tried it and you start off with a Lightning gun..as soon as you switch to another weapon, you can't use it till you get the default plasma gun on the map. It seems to have one full load of ammo to start. you csan not regenerate ammo in your spawnning weapon,...when you go to zoom you lose the cool sound that the gun normally makes

Is there perhaps a way to kill all health/ammo powerups regardless of map? That would just about solve everything.

Couple of years late I know, but does anyone have the lightning instagib mod? All the links are dead and I'd love to have a go at instagib on Prey.
