Hardcore Mod [beta]
Here's the beta02 version of kettenschutz & vicious "Hardcore" modification:


IMPORTANT
***********
- The weaponinventory is just a test!
- If you want to use some content of this modification for your own one, plz give proper credits
- THX to Herr Kettenschutz, the founder of this modification

HARDCORE MOD beta02 CHANGES:
******************************
Weapons:
- Kick-attack replaces the melee-attack
- Added Minigun
- Added Dual MP5s (without scopes)
- Added FN 5.7 + FN 5.7 Dual
- Colt 1911 (replaces Desert Eagle)
- Sig Pro 226 (replaces Beretta)
- Frag Grenade (replaces the original grenade)
- New shooting-sounds for all weapons
- All weapon-properties tweakes
- New weaponinventory/activeweapons HUD
- Some new weapon skins

Skin(s):
- New Skin for Maxey, including sunglasses
- Mona wears sunglasses too

GFX:
- New fonts for subtitles, ammo, quickload and menu
- All new mainmenu, including progressbar

Misc Tweaks:
- Music in bullettime/shootdodge
- Blur effect in bullettime and while shootdodging
- BT and shootdodges are slower
- Painkillers heal faster
- New blood decals
- New mainmenu-music
- New amazing 720° dodge-cam (dodge while you're doing a bt-session)

--- opps read the whole post *blush* er uh ideas huh, hmmm, need coffee, how about, sunglasses for Max and Mona, opps, I did it again!

I know, new skin items like big floppy hats or small pillbox caps, stuff like that I can use in my mod?

yes ... i edited my post in the "how to release a mod"-thread, cos I think it's better too add some "fan-made" ideas to the final version's features.

After figuring out the password protected archive (for anyone who doesn't know the password is 'www.tm-kult.org'), I began the game with the Hardcore mod, and upon trying to run the Scaffolding DMW, I got an error message about an eyelash. The game closed.

Extremely cool. Very nice blur, cool fonts, the PWNAGE loading screens... Bullettime feels a bit too slow, especially when the 720 camera kicks in. Max skin is neat. The music that starts when you dodge is very annoying, imo.. Gonna play some more

The history of this mod is very ... uhm ... yeah right ;]

It first WAS one of this "Yeah, we tweaked the cinama mod"-mods.
But i think the beta 02 has a lot of things, that you won't find in the cinema.
By the way, most of the models were created by Kettenschutz, my ex-partner ... so whatever, the final version isn't going to contain anything taken from other mods.

and as you can read, my english is pretty ****** up ;]

I entered the hardcore-team after beta02 was released.
I agree that the BT is too slow, I like it faster.
And the Shootododge-Music thing pisses me of, cause I'm dodging every three seconds :]
It's removed already, i think the next version will follow in a few days

If you try to cheat, the BT-only won't work (will be removed, too!)

so is this going to develop into a Hitman Codename 47 themed mod/total conversion? That would be sweet! With the new bones you could probably make the Hitman model from Hitman 2 playable (or not, I know nothing about modding, it just sounds plausible). Anyway, from what I've seen it looks like the early skeleton of this mod was the Deep Blue 3.0 mod, judging from the shotgun model, the face on the new skin, and the pixel shader error. That mod, while pretty advanced around the time of its release, was pretty buggy, from what I've heard and from my own experience. It did have cool guns though. The BT needs to be sped up, and I think cheats should be allowed, as I was not able to test out all of the mod's features because I didn't have time to actually play through enough to get all the weapons. I generally use cheats in DMW to test a new mod's weapons, just to try them out, then switch the cheats off. I expect you may get more mod analysis/response if you allow cheats, because it makes it more practical to test the mod.

It was planned to get a total conversion, but after kettenschutz decided to join the bundeswehr, the crew broke up.

I just promised him to finish the hardcore mod ..... nothing more :/

Max should wear gloves ... they look kinda shitty, but they'll be black !

I just opened your mod up and deleted your console folder as well as your skins folder to get it running. I know it's personnal opinion....but 80 - 90 % of people won't play thru the game with the mod with cheats disabled because sometimes u just want to fool around with cheats on. You also double packed the mod?? But I did have fun with the frag grenade, and you did a good job with the HUD text.....I see u are still workin on the GUN hud though.

The music sounds like hair rock .. but it's all good.

I absolutely love the part where you get kicked to the desktop for typing 'god' in the console. Did you really have to disable cheats? It's quite hard to see all the weapons you created when I'd have to play in DMW for a solid 5 minutes just to collect all the guns. Pistols and shotgun were nice.

Could it be the man himself?

I just want to emphasize that the loading images are some of the coolest things i've ever seen. Strange, since it looks like regular Max Payne 2 screenshots, but still, i am fascinated by them.. Strange indeed..

Umm... Could you create a package of the images? I'd like to use them as wallpapers

After deleting console.txt I had an absolute blast with this mod. The new pistols are better than sex, while the assault rifles highly benefit from the increased ROF. The submachine guns could use a bit of work (default Uzis, slow firing MP5), but it's overall the best Cinema deviation out there.

Agreed the best now jsut change that song, is that Iron Madien then add that subway map then it'll be set since the only dmw map i play is the roscoe street station .

Im getting a error when im trying to extract this does anyone know why or how I can fix this.

Re downlaod after about the 5th re download mine was fixed kept dling corrupted.

Get WinRAR, and double click on the archive, then type 'www.tm-kult.org' when it asks for a password. Then just straight up extract it, and run or extract the self-extracting .exe inside the archive.

Whats up, guys ?

I'm currently not checking the forum daily, cos I got problems with my internet provider.

Anyway ... beta03 is coming ... not the final.
I'd like to check out some weapons and the players' (that'd be you) resonance.
So here are some of the features I already included:

- Hardballers (Single+Dual)
- Colt .45 Dual removed
- Socoms (Silenced Single + Dual)
- BT is a bit faster
- New Skin for Maxey
- Minigun removed, FAMAS replaced it
- Cheating's working again

so far, so good.

I think i'll put it online Thursday or Friday, with NO ****** password )

aw yeah ... so stay tuned, and answer me one Question:

You can add only 4 weapons :/ .. so there are four possibilities:

1) Replace the Sig with the Socom
2) Replace the FN with the Socom
3) Don't add the Colt, add just a Single Socom
4) ****** the Socom, Sig, Colt and FNs rule

so you're my masters ;]

Leave Colts and FNs, replace Sigs with Socoms.

BTW: This mod is sooo sweet dude, GREAT JOB! Can't wait for beta03, cos this damned cheat bug sucks ass (Dual Colts 1911 + unlimited ammo + god mode + shitloads of baddies = dreams come true ).

so here's a list of things i already finished:

- Cheating is allowed again
- You can get the enw weapons with console command "GetNewWeapons"
- Replaced Sigs with Socoms
- Added Single+Dual Hardballers
- Removed Dual MP5s and Dual FN FiveSevens
- Replaced Colt Commando with FA-MAS assault rifle
- New Menu Design
- Annoying shootododge-music removed
- Added three BT-musics

There's one problem with this changes: I don't have any pictures of a hardballer for the weaponinventory-hud ...
I'm no Photoshop-Pro, so it'll maybe look a little bit like ... shit ;]

Anyway, beta 03 will probably released this weekend, if my girlfriend doesn't screw it up (she wants to see NOFX live in Cologne ...).

U can take the 3ds image of the gun and import it into milkshape...screenprint...and adjust it in photoshop or paint shop

Just found beta 2 on levels4you.com. Got some potential this mod. Very nice weapon models and skins. Esp. the sig's Nice icons too. However the new fonts used doesn't really cut it imho. I'd rather have the original ones. Also, the AK47 firing sound seems to be much louder than the rest of the sounds. Pixel shader skins are broken, and bullettime is waaaay to slow still. But keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to the final

My brother ****** up the router, so I gotta wait till I get my monthly payment (just a practicant :/) to buy a new one.

The good thing is:

I'm using the time to work @ the modification, so I can release it as soon as possible.

I'm pretty sure Pixel Shader skins were only broken in the Deep Blue Mod and all mods based in varying degrees off of its code.

It breaks when someone who doesn't know what they're doing modifies a character model, actually. It all has to do with the material names on the model.

What happens is someone modifies the model and doesn't preserve the names, then doesn't modify the txt file for the model in the skins dir, either.

Okay ... sorry for keeping you waiting.
My keyboard was kinda broken (god knows why ... the beer is to blame ^^), so I bought a new one.

Right now, I'm workin on it again .... when I hurry the ****** up, I'll release the beta03 on thursday or friday.

This time I promise it .... only god can stop me ^^.
I'm currently working on a new Shotgun model, the problem is, it doesn't have >25 frames, so I can't replace the original Pumpshotgun with it, damn it.
And I really don't want to replace another weapon with it, so the moddeling was wasted time for me :/.
