You are seriously underestimating the talent of voice actors. I bet there is tons of actors that can do the Duke voice to the point you would not be able to tell if it is Jon or not.

Again, name one. I haven't heard anyone who sounds like Jon St. John doing Duke Nukem. Theres an attitude that JsJ has realised that I don't think anyone else CAn realise *just* as he did. Darth Vader is James Earl Jones, Duke Nukem is Jon St. Jon. They make the characters who they are, 3D Realms understands this.

I have a videoclip on my PC, of a comedian, who is absolutely AMAZING with voices...
He can sounds EXACTLY (really, Precisly and with no flaws) like Arnold Swarzenegger... It's truly amazing, seeing a whole other person, sound exactly like this... And he can do more than that too...

Also, Jon St. John can sound extremely similar to Homer's voice, and Mr. Smithers and Mr. Burns form the Simpsons...

He could easily replace the current voice actors for Simspons if that would eve be necessary... And so, do i believe that there is also someone else oput there, probably even a few or several, who can sound eitehr extremely similar to Duke, or exactly like him...

I don't see any reason for looking/hearing at other voice actors since JohnSJ is doing it anyway...

That's true...
We are just clearing out the fact, that he can be replaced, in case he didn't do the voice...

Like anyone else, i'd prefer the original Voice actor, mainly because he is familar with Duke's personality, and knows exactly how to sound anytime...

That's him alright

. There's plenty of people around who can do impersonations as close or even as perfect as the person they are imitating (or the character they are voicing in this case), yet I still think it's better to get JSJ to do the voice of Duke as he is already familiar with the character like you said Micki!. JSJ is the voice of the Duke and I sure hope it'll never change.

I agree. Jon St. John would obviously be the first choice. But if they couldn't get him, hire someone like Billy West and no one would notice the difference.

Well, if we want exactly the same voice...

...then maybe we can just re-use all the old midi quotes from Duke 3d, and repeat them over and over in the game. I mean, we all quote the old quotes over and over again anyway... who needs new ones?

Maybe even throw in one use of the old "I'm back" midi from Duke 2 while we're at it, just for good measure.

Jon St John?

Hes a voice talent. Hes done a bunch of TV spots (I think a bunch, the simpsons, a few trailers...) He did the marine voices in opposing force, and he played General Patton in Empires Dawn Of The Modern World. Hes done radio too I believe. :P
