Question How can I create/add my own textures?
Im very much into level making, esspecially since I discovered the HRP and eDuke32, which I think is absolutely supercool stuff
I would be very interested in creating/changing some textures, and especcially for the HRP, if possible.
What would be the easiest way for this? Do I have to change the DUKE3D.GRP file or could I just change/add some textures in the HRP zip file?
And if I want to make it easy for someone to test my levels with the new textures, what is the easiest way for this?

ps. yet another question, nowadays I (and everyone else?) has to create a .bat file with correct adress information and include the correct HRP zip files in order to play Duke3D with the HRP...shouldn´t there be a simpler, easier way? a file that just says "eDuke32 HRP.exe" for example?

there is a a file called duke3d.def and many .def files in the HRP zip/folder. I unzip the whole thing in order to edit and see everything in there. If the files are not zipped, you just have to run the exe file, not everyone wants to unzip everything though, I don't know why.
There is a HRP wiki, but I am not sure how complete it is in this regard.

Dummytile for the win.
Look up the original jfduke3d documentation for how to use definetexture.

As for the .bat files, a shortcut works just fine. Seriously, who browses all the way to their duke3d folder when you can just pin a shortcut to your quicklaunch bar or start menu?

I have a simple shortcut to the exe with all the HRP and mod stuff unzipped. I could just run the exe file from the folder if I was working with it and needed to test right away what I just finished.
