Recently on vacation I went to a paint-your-own ceramics place. I got a mug, and guess what I painted on it? That's right, Joe Siegler's not the only one with a Dopefish mug now!

On both sides of the mug is a (badly drawn) picture of a Burpfish with the words "EAT YOUR VEGGIES!" written below it. It's sitting beside the computer as I speak. I'll try to get some pictures up as soon as I can get my !#%$^ digital camera working...stay tuned...

Actually, many people besides Joe have the mugs. He had about 50 of them made. Most of them are spread around to people he knows in the game industry. Tom Hall, John Romero, Adrian Carmack, just to name a few.

Actually, he did a couple of auctions. I think one went to someone at 3D Portal, and I can't remember where the other one went to.

That someone was Brad Wernicke (he also works at, maybe owns, avault.com). I remember the auction creeping along until he came in a bid over $100 for the mug. I wish I had money to spend like that .

You mean not everyone has that much money to blow on a ceramic mug? What are you talking about?

I sold three mugs on Ebay. The first one went to Brad Wernicke (of 3D Portal, nothing to do with Avault) for $125.

The second and third, I don't remember who got them, but they were much cheaper, around 40 or 50, if I recall right.
