[DNMP] DNMP Crashing
Hi. Several weeks ago MP was running fine on WinXP SP2 machine. Then all of a sudden prism3d.exe started crashing constantly. Most of the time I can't even get through a single level before it crashes (after restarting I'll have to start at the beginning of the level again, since the latest normal saved game isn't locked). Suffice to say, it's nearly impossible to get further. I tried reinstalling the game, but that didn't help any. Anyone know any issues? Anything I might be able to do to get DNMP running smoothly again?

On a related note: anyone know how to start user levels in MP?

All I can suggest right now due to lack of time is that you run a search back over the past two years. I am sure that the problem has been addressed before.

As for starting user levels, once the game is running just press the '~' tilde key to get the game console and type map, then a space, and then the name of the level without an extension on it, i.e., map e02p01_a01

If it is a valid user level, it should load and run. Just as a test, try loading the above map from the game to see if it works and then go on from there. (Oh, btw, there is no way to save progress in a user level except for the quick-save in the current game.) Good luck....

No it isn't. I copied all the info that was on the official site here:

Swithing to OpenGL makes Duke MP exit to windows the moment I press 'accept'. The feedback form here as well as the Arush itself doesn't work; it seems to be the same file. There's a 404 error on the .pl file upon clicking 'submit'. I've sent an e-mail to their webmaster yesterday, but I've yet to recieve an answer, and obviously it hasn't been fixed yet either!!!

For the record, Arush let the registration to the official dnmp site lapse, and then a squatter came in and got it. I did manage to get the data off the server though and replicated it on the 3DR site as I linked to above.

The .pl feedback thingy still can't be found, not the one on the Arus site itself, nor the one here! Going to be difficult to get tech help from arush if there tech thing produces a 404 error.

prism3d.exe is also causing me some problems, has anyone found a way around the problem, or fixed it?

Are you playing on an Integrated graphics card or dedicated card. Yes it crashes the game sometimes, but you could change some of the configuring files.

Disable Pixel Fog,
Disable Hard ware TnL. ( Transform & lighting )
Disable Hardware 3D Sound
Disable Hardware Texture Transforms
Disable Hardware Environment Mapping
Disable Complied Vertex Arrays
