2005 Duke Nukem 3D Soundtrack - Update
Hi everyone. Long time, no news from me. I have recently built my new DAW PC (Athlon 64-bit, Dual Channel Memory, SATA Drives), and upgraded all software and sound libraries. I am actively working on crafting all new Duke Nukem 3D tracks utilizing new sequencing in Cubase SX 3.0, and using the East West Quantum Leap Platinum edition (orchestral), the East West Quantum Leap StormDrum and the new East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs, among other professional audio tools. I also have a good friend providing any needed electric guitar to various tracks.

I am working to re-arrange all 42 Duke 3D tracks, and the below link is a perfect example of the massive difference in quality and realism. I am also working on some original music, to include a move score for a low-budget horror movie being filmed in Holland.

The following link is to the new version of Baked Goods, from the Atomic Edition, utilizing Cubase SX 3.0, EWQL Platinum Edition, EWQL Colossus and EWQL Storm Drum, and I would hope the difference is noticed:

The following is a link to a track from GT Interactive's Blood, again utilizing Cubase SX 3.0, EWQL Platinum Edition, EWQL Colossus and EWQL Storm Drum. Let the piece play to to middle, as that is when the awesome StormDrums kick in.

GT Interactive's Blood Track 02 - Orchestral Edition 2005

Much more to come over the next few months.

Cheers,

Well you are not first to try this

So I'm not praising your work too much, before you actually get all 42 tracks done.
I doubt you can finish them all, though.
But feel free to proof my wrong

I'd say key to success here would be to leave this forum, not post any more sneak-peeks, and only return when you have done all 42 tracks. If you wait for us to to pat you on the back after each track.. it would recuire hell of a lot of patting!

Anyways. Love the way they sound (near perfection), but I challenge you to actually do what you are planning.

Mark's new versions are great, but I think I like PeteB's style more. PeteB's sound like the tracks on the Sega Saturn version of Duke, only better.

The Blood track is pretty cool. I think I like Blood's music better than a lot of the Duke 3d tracks.
