Mapster is a free replacement for the Build editor that ships with Duke. It works a little better under Windows as well.

I'm using Whistler Beta 2 right now, and I sometimes mess with Mapster under an emulated Win98 box.

The most likely upgrade to Mapster will be compiling with whatever source files are going to be used for the next release of Eduke.
So at the very least an increase in sector limits et al, maybe something running natively under windows (but poorly under NT as TX tells me) from the Build source those Loki peeps produced for Windows.
