Duke Nukem 3D Level Design Handbook
I'm hoping to get a copy of Duke Nukem 3D Level Design Handbook some time in the future. From what I've read, there are some errors in the book, but I'm still pretty interested in it. Is the book really that bad?
Also, does anyone know if the 50 levels from the CD are any good? Thanks. |

Re: Duke Nukem 3D Level Design Handbook
I don't know why anyone would want that book except for the sake of collecting (which is why I bought it). There are much more modern tools available (read: Mapster32) with updated/better documentation. And of course there are forums like AMC where you can gather more information and post about level editing.
The book may contain errors (haven't checked it) but it's also outdated. Just like the original Build.

It's a good book! I actually learned alot from it! But yeah, you should just use online sources if you don't want to spend/ aren't into collecting.

Oh, I LOVED that book back in the day...Matt Tagliaferri was awesome, he was like the "Jason Busby" of the 1990s. I got that book floating around somewhere.
