News Stories You Won\'t See In Max Payne 2 Article At D6
News Stories You Won't See In Max Payne 2 Article
28/10/03 | 03:41 GMT - aavenr

Two months ago, while the Max Payne 2 hype was starting to catch on, I wrote this little, funny article for Deep Six about news headlines you most defintively wouldn't see in Max Payne 2. I intended to premier this feature when the new website went live, but due to some unfortunate reasons we are still working on that relaunch and I just gave up holding it back. So here it goes.

Granted, the article may read a bit weird at first, but that's because it is based on Max Payne 1 and written on the eyes of someone who hadn't (and tragically stilll hasn't, but I am getting there) experienced the pleasure of playing through Max Payne 2. Back then, we were still hearing about that walking joke that called himself Maxx Payne and so, I felt a parody was due in there. Here follows a sample to entice you into checking it out. And please, by all means post your thoughts on it at this forum thread. I had a blast writing this thing, and hopefully, you'll get a few laughs out of it. And if that's the case, don't hesitate to show your approval, a part 2 might be in the way.

"Influential politician caught red-handed in the midst of massive sexual orgy". Alfred Woden F., former senator for the State of New York in the late nineties was arrested last night along with dozens of other men under the charges of disorderly conduct and indecent exposure while an alleged sexual orgy on an obscure part of Central Park was taking place. Apparently Mr. Woden, who has a long history of sexual scandals -- he was accused in 2001 of purchasing the services of transsexual prostitute Candy Dawn -- will appear before court next Tuesday....

Another bit:

"Aesir Corp. new CEO to change company's focus." Johnny F. Weight, the recently appointed CEO of corporate giant Aesir Corp. announced Wednesday a radical new shift in his company's long term strategy: adult diapers. The high profile conglomerate is apparently disposing its scientific and military contract business with the government in favor of the increasingly small and not surprisingly low-profit adult diaper market....

NEWS STORIES YOU WON'T SEE IN MAX PAYNE 2

Did you like the article and want to see a part II? Did you absolutely positively hate it? Does aavenr try too hard to be funny (and fails miserably)? Post your comments and/or offensive flaming here!

Heh, I am glad at least someone enjoyed it. As soon as I get through MP2 I will write another one.

Hmm...now that I think about it, I think it is obvious the influence Mad magazine has had in me when looking at that article. The style is pretty similar...
