Re: The Concept Art
That's up to George. As it's a selling point for the XBLA game, I'd think the inclination is to not do that, unless it's been out for a really long time.

Re: The Concept Art
No! Put them in the art book that comes with the DNF special edition!
A nice retrospective of the Duke games' art maybe?

But then i have to wait for that game first, haha But it would make sense though, it would also reach more fans of the game this way i guess... I'd still like a seperately sold one though... Some concept artists sell books of their artwork privately... Paul Richards did that, i bought stuff directly from him, he's a cool guy, even signed his name personally in the book... Love his art Wish The Concept artist for Duke3D had done this, then i'd get that, hehe...

Re: The Concept Art
Yep, I agree that printed (concept)art is better than digital art, atleast for Duke.. We'll probably get an artbook with DNF limited edition yeah, as it's a likely thing for a dev to do with a limited edition nowadays (Halo3, Gears of War 2).

Re: The Concept Art
I heard the last two pieces of concept art are really special!...
Being a college student, I can't play all day and night, so it's taking longer to get the achievements and concept art.

Just saw the concept art. Really cool, it's nice to see the evolution on some of the enemies

Re: The Concept Art
Really interesting how the snakeheads changed into those mechanical drones. "Too Silly"
I dug the "energy chainsaw" that'd been cool if it made it into the game I was really excited when I saw the final two pieces, made my heart go all aflutter =P.

Those snakeheads reminded me of Lost Souls.

Energy chainsaw looked cool. I see it turned into the Freezethrower.

Re: The Concept Art
I just had a look at all the art and it's nice to see some of the ideas that were being tossed around. The Sonic Resonator and the Laser Chainsaw sound great, and the alternate attack on the Jellyfish is a funky idea. Good stuff all round.

Re: The Concept Art
I actually saw the Laser Chainsaw one before... Don't think i actually saw any of the others... Maybe some pigcop ones...
I like the Octabrain though... Funy seeyng how it turned from floating jellyfish, to menacing floating brain with mandibles and jaws... My favorite imagine of the whole gallery oughta be the one of Duke grabbing the enforcers mouth, sitting on its neck from behind, shooting at something in front of him... I love how it's drawn... Duke on there though, looks like the pre-rendered version as we knew him in the ending cut scenes of each boss (mostly ep3 last level cutscene, where i think you get the best closeup of him... And when the credits come up, and Duke is there with the Team) I personally prefer the Duke as i see him on the Box art though... Still, This concept art in the gallery looks the coolest imo...

Re: The Concept Art
Great idea. Really, I'd buy the collector's edition just for that. I've had disappointing experiences with collector editions, but this... this would rock my world!

Re: The Concept Art
OK, since everyone seems to dance around the subject, the last two concept art pictures are screen shots from Duke Nukem Forever.
WOW! I saw these on another website, and now I have to work harder to get all 200 achievement points. |

Re: The Concept Art
Not at all, Joe! Me and my brother both think the concept art is awesome, and we took time off from fragging to look at it. I'm still unlocking it all. The only part I'm disappointed about is that there isn't more.
