So 3D Realms has gone bust, does this mean no Max Payne 3?
I was gutted when I heard the news because I've been a massive fan for some time now, but I can't see to find any articles on the big sites (IGN, Gamespot, etc...) confirming that Max Payne 3 is still coming out.
Only that the Duke Nukem Trilogy is. I'm gonna be crushed is Maxxy is canceled because I'd just bought the first 2 again to get me in the mood. Granted they're still excellent games, so I can be happy that I haven't wasted my cash, but I'd still be gutted about no Max 3. |

Max Payne is handled by Take Two/Rockstar, and has nothing to do with 3DR or Remedy.

To further clarify, Remedy and 3D Realms sold the rights of Max Payne to Take 2 for $48M, splitting ownership 50:50. Any further games will be the responsibility of Take 2.
I guess 3DR burned through their slice of the pie ![]() |
