Max Payne Crashes
Out of no where my game will crash and bring me back to my desktop. I do not even get to play 5 minutes of the game. My system specs are :

1ghz athlong t-bird
256 mgs of ram
geforce 2 mx 64 megs

I dont know if any of this would help but if u need anything else please tell me !

Just to let you know, you aren't alone. Many people have these random lock ups and crashes to the desktop. There are also plenty that don't have this problem. Sucks really bad for us!

Hello,

Have you tried all of the tricks in the readme? Getting Athlon mobos to run smoothly is sometimes tricky. Here's a list:

- Ensure you have proper (powerful enough) power supply.
- Ensure your system is cooled properly. High-end games such as Max heat systems up A LOT.
- Check that you're running at realistic detail levels (not too high!)
- AGP Aperture Size should be at 128MB
- Chipset drivers should be properly installed
- Check that AGP is enabled by using DXDIAG
- Check that you're running 12.41 drivers.
- If you have Win2000, you MUST have SP2 or the VIA chipset hotfix installed.
