can't start prey need help <------!!!!!!

when i start prey (i have runned it in a window...) there come a message (you all know i hope it...) than in the message i click on "don't send"...
(sorry i can't explain it so good because my windows is in german )


when you need more you only have to tell me than i post it...

It wont be a consolation but I have the exact same problem! If I find a fix will let you know. I seems to think it's windows related not the game .

Sorted mine!!!!!!!!

I did a seach on a hotfix 924867 from Microsoft after someone else had a similar prolem. Download the file it's less than 1mb. Apply, reboot and game works!!!!!!!!!! Apparently problem is with a Hotfix that was applied around August2006 No 917422.

Yes, my friend had the same problem when he installed prey again this week to try the new content. But the game dsidnt work because of the problem above.

Its probably not the same problem or it is and the fix only works for some, cause my friend still cant get it running because of a windows error.

In other words, the problem is still there and that fix doesnt work in v1.2.

He was able to run prey before he reinstalled his pc.

because other games only worked by me when i have cracked them...
