Re: MaxEd2 - How to start my own level.
Just for clarification, is your edited level still titled ExampleLevel?

Hmm. Maybe you've got some duplicates? If you exported multiple times without deleting the old .ldb2's, you might end up with ExampleLevel2, 3, etc.

Re: MaxEd2 - How to start my own level.
Huh...
Okay, once again, not patronizing, just making sure. You went through the process of exporting the level as an .ldb2, and compiling a mod as an .mp2m, right? |

Mmm Nope? my lvl is still in format lv2 i dosn't exported(dunno how) it but tried to make it a mod but that dos window said some errors...But why i cant play it for check or something in lv2 format cuz when i see some mistake i can eventualy corect it and have fun playing it, and when i make mod from it its not changeable right?..

Re: MaxEd2 - How to start my own level.
Okay, that clears things up. You haven't yet compiled your edited level into a mod. Here's what you do:
1. Get RasMaster, if you haven't yet. You can go here and sign up for free to get it. 2. Unpack the example level mod, which will create a "data" folder wherever you choose to unpack it. Go into data, then database, then levels, and delete "ExampleLevel.ldb2". 3. Go into your edited level, and go to file>export, which will create an .ldb2 version of your level. 4. Put this new .ldb2 file in the levels folder from before, and make sure it's named "ExampleLevel.ldb2" just like the old one. 5. Fire up RasMaster again, choose create, and click on the data folder from earlier. This will convert the folder back into a mod, in the .mp2m format. Give the mod a name like "NewExample.mp2m" or whatever, and place it in your Max Payne directory. 6. Start the game, choose it from the drop down menu, and have a go. |
