Development documentations
Since I read the making of DOOM³ and watched the FEAR documentary videos I“m starting to love such stuff, it gives you some kind of an inside view of the development. DNF was developed for so many years...it would be a pity to leave them untouched

Re: Development documentations
I just hope 3D Realms releases a book along the lines of "Masters of Duke" after DNF ships.

Would be cool to finally read what's been going on behind the scenes for so many years. I don't know the documentations in the poll, but a book like Imfamous is referring to would be cool.

Perhaps as a bonus for a DNF Special Edition?

That's perhaps the stuff you're interested in, but others would like to read other details.

I don't really care, as long as it is interesting to read or see. (i.e. not boringly written )

Re: Development documentations
If it is a book of some kind, I'd love to see how for example the Pig Cop evolved from version to version; like how it was in the '98 version, '01 version and then the final release. I think it would be interesting to see the graphical changes as well as the physical changes to how they designed the enemies.

the commentary was very boring in chronicles of riddick, every 5 steps there was a commentary object where 2 programmers are constantly owning each other for 15 minutes

HL2: lost coast commentary is much better.

so I want that AND a book

Re: Development documentations
are you talking about ingame commentary? I allways hate stuff like that in movies, I don't think there is even a word of what I feel about that in games. Good thing is optional.

Re: Development documentations
How about interactive commentary as when you DNF, you could pic up a book and read some of the stuff or fiddle with comp and see some other stuff or watch documentary on tv.

i Think a book similar to "raising the bar" would be a good idea, because i thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe even a documentary on the biography channel, probably won't happen, but it would be cool none the less.
