Models to build
For those of us that have no drawing skill but can put blocks and other various fun shapes together to form models there is another and intresting way of getting things done with Build in terms of art and creating weapons and items.
There was a program I used a while ago for such a thing, but planetquake has only changed their site around 50,000 times since 1998 and I cannot seen to find this utility. It was really cool, could open SiN models and sprites, Half-Life, The Quake Series models...was really cool thing to have, you could load custom pallets to load the skins under and change the backround...which comes in a real handy when taking snap shots for Build sprites. If anyone remembers this tool, could you tell me about it? Give me the link? Or give me the program? The thing was freeware anyway, just cannot seem to find it anymore. |

Re: Models to build
No clue about the program you mentioned.
I used Strata 3D for it not Strata 3D Pro. Strata 3D can be downloaded for free and is free. No documentation, yet you can make weapons with it. They are upgrading the site and the program I got is no longer available, yet a better version called Strata 3D Base, will be. So bookmark the site for future reference. Meanwhile, while Strata is changing, you could download True Space 5. Even if you got no drafting skills, man with it you can create whatever your mind visulizes, there the license expires after 30 days, and they got a high class forum, where you can ask questions. And you probably end up buying it, so be carefull downloading that program, you may get hooked.
