Max 1: Max Payne Help, Closes after 1st Level

Well i have max payne but every time i try to get into the 2nd level it just shuts down.. a friend said to download the patch i tried that but it said something like " Max Payne exe could not update please close any applications you have running and try again" i've tried so many times to use the patch on the exe but it isnt working at all.. if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.. thanks.

As far as I remember, Max Payne unpatched crashes when exiting, the process still running the background. So all you have to do to is either kill the process with the task manager or restart your computer, which you most likely have done by now. Try installing the patch again.

Well i downloaded Max Payne patch 1.05 and when i try to run it, it actually deletes like one of my .dll files so i have to install it again and after i do that it says cannot update .exe
