Prey a Top Download on 360

The Official Xbox Magazine's current issue (April 2007) has Prey listed as one of their top downloads! They apparently are into Prey multiplayer, as they have Prey listed as one of their top downloads, over such items as the "Gears of War Map Pack", and some South Park episodes available on Xbox Live. Here's what they had to say about this:The developers for Prey released a host of new multiplayer content.. for free. How did we get this lucky? The goodies include five new character skins, and four new maps, with names like Gravity Labs, Space Oddity, Topillogical, and Tunnel Rat. Did we mention it's free?
If you have an Xbox 360, and haven't checked out Prey, you should do so. There is a free demo for the game available in the Xbox Live Marketplace, and the game has also had a price drop, so you can pick up a copy cheaper now. Check out the Prey ordering page for some links.

I downloaded the X360 Prey demo today since the PC version's online multiplayer is completely dead.

Man, the multiplayer component in the X360 demo is really fun! I enjoyed playing it for a couple hours straight today. I did notice it lagged up quit a bit when I got in a big fight, but the gravity-shifting was a really fun feature when I was blasting acid and grenades at some other suckers. Also, there was some little kid on the mic singing about the PS3.

It's too bad that absolutely nobody plays multiprey on the PC most of the time - I really would have fun.

Really cool demo anyway.

I'm online with prey 360 a lot. There is allways action in there and its fun to do the gravity thing. my son plays prey the most and he calls everyone an idiot when they get him. LOL

gee, last I heard, Prey 360 was a nightmare; I bought one for xmas to play gears. I'm crappy with a controller but maybe I'll check into it

Tried the 360 demo on my brothers new 360 and I must say the totally nailed the dual stick controls. I my self prefer the Time Splitters type of aiming but Prey does make it almost as easy for me to aim, feels very natural and smooth.

I keep trying to download the PREY 360 demo and every single time, without fail, it craps out at 94%!!!

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the sounbd track is it on xbox live I bought the collecotrs edition and it says comes with free download but whne i connected to live only maps and models were around?is the sound track only for the pc ?

A PC is not a requirement just that you can access the website somehow. Considering you are posting on the forum I don't see the problem unless you are posting from work and can't download stuff there or something like that.

There should be a link to the left under the 3DR website navmenu taking you to the soundtrack download.

Still no luck downloading it. Am I the only one? I tried deleting the content from the HD but each time I download it, it fails at the same place....ug...

I play Prey on the 360 alot.. (Distort is my gamertag).

The only issue that I have is the lag.

If you are not hosting the game, good luck shooting anyone when your near them. The more players you get, the worse it is.

Any chance that 3drealms is going to fix this?

thanks for the info same with with doom3 on live if ya had 4 people good luck even hosting heh.is prey playable with 4 to 6 i heard it can hold 8 ,but i doublt anyone get a when ya frozen for 90% of the game..oh my gamer tag is stroggmarine ..

no chance for fixing lag, the host need s to have a 768 upload and that should help the lag...I may try the demo and I'll serve if I do

Just tried to download it AGAIN. Still nada. Bombs out randomly. I've moved houses since the last attempt AND I'm not using wireless. Of course I did notice that the new XBOX update that has the new marketplace blind is a little fickle.....
