I told you Max Payne III was coming soon.

Unfortunately, Alan Wake is taking longer than expected, so Remedy can't start work on Max Payne III at this time. And apparently Take 2 didn't want to wait another 6 months or a year for Alan Wake to be finished, so they are going to make it themselves.

I'm definitely worried without Remedy making Max Payne III, but still it's great to hear it's being worked on.

The good news is that Remedy will be available fairly soon, and they can start work on Max Payne IV before III is even out (it will take them at least 2 years to make Max Payne IV, so the timing will be great).

Yes, and it not being finished yet is why Remedy isn't making Max Payne III.

But they'll have plenty of time to make Max Payne IV.

or perhaps the reason is that they deliberately sold the IP and per principle don't want work on licensed games ?

I still stand by my beliefs. IMO, the Max Payne series would work great as a trilogy, with the third game ending with the death of Max.

He's already lost everything, it would be the closest thing to a happy ending for him.

I'd much rather have an ending with Max finding a new love and starting a new life.

MP2's ending actually worked really good for an end to the series, because Max was at peace. I'd like him to find peace in some form.

Being that it's done in noir style, I don't think a happy ending, like finding a new love, would work. Specially after he lost his wife, started to care for someone else and lost her as well (depending on which ending).
