It's a jpeg file dated Aug 21, 2007...you know...back when DNF was being developed by 3D Realms and we were waiting for an actual game to be released. It's also back when Valve began to launch the TF2 - Orange Box marketing campaign and 3D Realms actually had something that they could show us in order to make it look like TF2 wasn't going to leave them stranded on the Vaporware list.

Because if it's the latter I really wanna know where that 3D city came from. It looks familiar somehow, and the building on the left looks ALMOST EXACTLY like the building you can enter in E1L1 of DN3D, the one outside the theater next to the GUILTY? RPG secret...

Something about Splinter Cell came up the last time I saw this fake image.

Pretty sure its just a Photoshop, not someones 3D render.
