Can not destroy shield generators in Episode 1 3-3 of Terminal Velocity

I used cheats to skip to the final level of Episode 1 of Terminal Velocity and I used invincibility. For some reason, the shield generators that you have to destroy in the boss stage do not destroy with the basic weapon on hard mode. What I am doing wrong? They get destroyed with the basic weapon on easy and normal mode. I figured out how to destroy them. It just takes a while.

Sometimes the missiles in Moon Dagger -world are tough to destroy.
