DNF = Did not finish.... Do Not Follow up... Disqualified for Not Finalizing.

It will be impossible to not know when DNF is finished. BULL SHIT!

The next game to replace DUKE... Modern Warfare 2... It looks way more interactive than duke and you know what? They have a deadline. 11.10.09... I'm pissed off at 3drealms lack of leadership. A real leader will have got that game finished and not ruin the careers and their hard work. Sorry George. But you suck.

Yep more interactive. Watch the video for modern warfare 2.

Sure you can't flush toilets, but it looks like an action film. Theres underwater bits. Skuba - reminiscent of duke. Riding vehicles... Reminiscent of 2001 duke... And of course heaps of explosives, very reminiscent of duke. Interactive or not. That game replaces duke because it looks just as cool.

The new COD will be just as linear as its predecessors and have zero interactivity. Probably have infinite guys as well. I'm sorry but COD's single player has always been terrible, with no interactivity. I don't know what you define interactivity as, but I guarantee it won't have anything that fits within my definition of it. It will be just one big scripted sequence after another.

Duke will never come out. Duke3D wasn't interactive at all. I'm not a COD fan boy, I actualy only started playing when it went modern.

You fan boyz just can't accept duke is nothing but vapowarez now, and will only exist as a video stored on your hard drive that you can play, pause and stop. And thats where I'm getting at. I didn't see anything in the latest leaked video of DNF to be anymore interactive...

And since when is any other single player game not just a horde of scripted events of NPC's?

I kept quiet for some time! But E3 is realy my last chance for seeing Duke in the near future! If nothing happens until June 4th, this current DNF build is dead.

And I'm coming back to this very forum when the media train starts for a new DNF build, probably not directly from 3DR anymore....

Arguments against that:

1) 3d realms since 2001 firmly stated that they will never attend E3 for DNF and every thread that attempted to suggest otherwise was locked in seconds.They were really annoyed even at the mentioning of DNF and E3 in the same sentence.

2)Doesn't this presentation need a lot of preparation and a considerable amount of work? Who would do that? There are about 3-4 people left if am not mistaken...

3) The first hearing is on the same day, and i assume george and scott are very busy with it.

Arguments in favour :

1) George in his latest twitter shows interest in E3, besides the fact that they disdained E3 all the previous years,

2) Maybe it is a desparate way of finding investors for DNF

Anyway, i don't think DNF showing or not showing up in E3 isn't that important. Finding money and a dev team really fast is much more important and unfortunately i don't see that happening...

after 12 yrs (keepin' an eye every 2-3 years)HOPE is still something i HOPE FOR ,but nothig much else for now.
i am a fan of Duke and i am sorry that all this thigs are happening to 3DR ,
u have to wake up and smell the roses...and the roses aren't smelling nice at the moment for Duke.
but (there's always BUT)
reading through a sea of threads,posts and opinions ,i got the felling that
almost (if not all of u ) will buy/acquire and play DNF when/if it will be released
maybe,someday ,in a galaxy far far away...

i think everybody here, and i mean everybody (haters, trolls, people saying "it's over,don't be in denial") !! have still a little hope inside them that DNF will actually come out eventually, some day.....

unfortunately i have witnessed a similar situation for another great game (Theseis ->http://www.theseisgame.com/), where i personally now that it is cancelled for good (some of the former developers and managers were my friends) but there are still people in its forums who still believe it will come out and sometimes get angry ("where is our game?,"...you promised us...") because there wasn't an official announcement...Same problems....they were perfectionists and they ran out of money....they were looking for investors for many months but with no luck....

Another scaring similarity with that case was the departure of the main web site administrator (like joe) some months before the unofficial cancellation and the statement "that doesn't mean anything, the development is continued as usual"

this is all deja vu...it's so sad..

was DNF ever a real project or were these guys just defrauding investors to keep their jobs indefinitely.

I am also amused at the iron hand they used in demanding that WID not ever be questioned. well i looks like WID stands for What Is DNF suckers.

I am sad to see Duke likely die. there is a shred of hope that maybe someone with dedication and project management skills will be able to resurect DNF From the ashes.

Personally I think there is still a hell of a market for this product and as long as the product is reasonably mature maybe it can be brought back to life.

Personally though I think the lack of Promotional images and media indicate that WID was just a cover for the fact that there is no product at all.

Also, I still find it hard to beleive that this court date is oh so convenitly placed on the last day of E3.

That's definitely not true....They were a lot of respectable people outside 3drealms who saw it in action...Also, many artists and developers that worked on the project are really too top notch and very "famous" to be part of this scam.What you say is an insult for them and their work...

Take a look at their portfolio (dnf and other) and you will understand their high quality...
not to mention Jeremy soule's and John st john involvement ....

VrX	Re: Still Hope! ok... im new here,#1 hi everybody, my input! after 12 yrs (keepin' an eye every 2-3 years)HOPE is still something i HOPE FOR ,but nothig much else for now. i am a fan of Duke and i am sorry that all this thigs are happening to 3DR , u have to wake up and smell the roses...and the roses aren't smelling nice at the moment for Duke. but (there's always BUT) reading through a sea of threads,posts and opinions ,i got the felling that almost (if not all of u ) will buy/acquire and play DNF when/if it will be released maybe,someday ,in a galaxy far far away...

Epidemic	Re: Still Hope! was DNF ever a real project or were these guys just defrauding investors to keep their jobs indefinitely. I am also amused at the iron hand they used in demanding that WID not ever be questioned. well i looks like WID stands for What Is DNF suckers. I am sad to see Duke likely die. there is a shred of hope that maybe someone with dedication and project management skills will be able to resurect DNF From the ashes. Personally I think there is still a hell of a market for this product and as long as the product is reasonably mature maybe it can be brought back to life. Personally though I think the lack of Promotional images and media indicate that WID was just a cover for the fact that there is no product at all.
