Nice review, although i would have giving duke a 9/10 for that port But i do agree with his things about colorness, because i just went from Duke 3D to Dark Sector yesterday, and damn, another game on that boring unreal engine 3

Someone needs to stop developers from using that engine, it really is incredible dull to look at. Only game i thought looked decent with that engine was Bioshock.

Dark Dector is NOT Unreal Engine 3, not going into that. Nor should ANYONE.
He was pretty fair on the review, Yes Keycard hunting is a thing of the past, Switches on the otherhand I don't think are a thing of the past but they are still here but in a different form.

My bad, just the look of the engine dark sector is using looks very unreal engine 3, and since it was digital extremes, old epic people right? I just thought

But that dosnt change that the game is incredible dull looking, and id take the build engine over that engine anyday

The sound fares less well. The music is adequate MIDI fare, if a little forgettable, but Duke's limited lines of dialogue (it's unclear if this was down to space restraints on the 3.5" floppy disks or the protagonist's limited vocabulary) sound very low-quality and could have done with being re-recorded.
Lol the game's not THAT old, it's a CD-ROM game!

Still, a fair review.

3D Realms can get great reviews for there games if they pay the reviewers. A lot of developers pay game reviewing companies to say good things about there games even though the game is dumb or boring.

Very nice review, only one gripe from me. I liked finding keycards.

KeyCards...

No kidding... what is the deal with keycards? Is there some kind of time limit for tech invention to expire? Doors that open were invented a while back and I kind of like those. Innovation is great, but I don't like the whole attitude of age=out. Sex has been around a while but it seems to be pretty popular. Sex, KeyCards, it's all good. What next? Are first person shooters going to expire too? Sounds like something a goverment would come up with.
I like finding KeyCards, Jewels, Skull Keys, and just about any other door opening thingy in FPS's. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
