Prey's options menu...
Will it be like Doom3's(or at least the demo's)?

Doom3 considers any key other than the letters "Shift"(I only tested the left arrow key and the delete key though) when I'm trying to map it but I can use them in game... (EX: Doom3's turn left is mapped to the left arrow. I can turn left with the arrow.. I can't map the left arrow to anything else because it would be the same as mapping shift to it)

Also, Doom3 doesn't save any of the options that I enter into the advanced graphics menu(I can turn the stuff off but it gets turned back on when I load it again). Only way I can get it to run fine is by turning everything to low or off(except the brightness which goes up as far as I can get it).

..So it'd be pretty bad if Prey did the same thing.

(any of this happen to anyone else?)

You'll find out soon enough.

As to the other folks in this thread - this is not a Doom 3 tech support thread. Doom 3 discussions are meant for another forum.

Re: Prey's options menu...
Hiya, first time poster here.
I just recently bought a widescreen (16:10) monitor and I really enjoying replaying some past fps in this mode. I just wanted to ask if Prey was going to support widescreen gaming and its resolution (ideally 1440x900) in the main options menu, or would I have to mess about with the config file ala Doom 3 & Quake IV?
I'm really looking forward to Prey, and next weeks demo has me salvating with anticipation!
Thanks for your time.

Re: Prey's options menu...
All the trailers were in high def 1280x720 (a widescreen res) and all xbox360 games have to support widescreen. Since they're releasing side by side with the pc version, I would say that widescreen support is definate.

We support widescreen. Just choose 4:3, 16:9, or 16:10 from the menu and it adjusts to your display. The game also remembers your option settings. We've made other changes as well, but you'll see those soon enough.

No 5:4? I know a popular resolution (also what I use), 1280x1024, is 5:4 (But Quake4 thinks its 4:3 and runs it just fine, so maybe it'll be ok.)

Re: Prey's options menu...
Ours works the same way (if you run 1280x1024 it calls it 4:3). I supposed we could just call it 'somewhat square' to alleviate confusion? ;P
