There's a Teaser trailer for Prey on Gamespot...
Go check it out..! The footage contains the same stuff as from the e3 video... But it has got a soundtrack now...

But it fits to the game, and the end Prey logo hasn't been shown before in any video footage... So i guess the whole thing is official...

Yeah, let's just hope that Prey won't pull another DNF on us. You know what happened with that one. However, if Prey's official, then I hope to expect quite a ton out of this. From the movie, I can see potential that this game will blow anything else out of the lava pits! Hehe...

You forget Prey was in production before but was cancelled. So in a sence it did pull a DNF already.

No it didn't because DNF never got cancelled.

Technically, Prey was never formally cancelled. Until the moment we confirmed that Humanhead was working on it, the official company line was that it was "On hold, a decision on the franchise would be made after DNF was out".

We obviously changed our minds on that stance, but it was never declared "cancelled". Just on hold for a really long time.

Well, there was no formal press release saying that. It's just the last official stance we made was "it's on hold". We never issued another one since then. So that one held. This is in reference to when we stopped production on the game engine Corrinne Yu was working on. It was dormant for quite a long time until HH started working on it again.

None of this is new news or some new revelation. Been around for ages.

I know I was referring to a news item on the mainpage of this site, where I disticntly remember that beeing mentioned, I was just wondering if that was still around somewhere.

As far as I know, I don't believe we actively removed that, but it has been awhile, I can't say I remember this specific issue completely.

I looked through our press release section (including old ones not online anymore), and didn't see anything like this.

Did you look in the news archives?

I don't know if this would help you, but this is what i could find on Wikipedia... Look at the buttom of the page, which says "External links" maybe one of them is the one you were refering to...
