Check it out yourself. Its the news theme from a local Mumbai based TV channel in India. Hell Duke even rocks there ! The channel news broadcast is called "Sahara Samay Mumbai"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWFGo...eature=related

George should sue them and get 5 million dollars from them
( altough I doubt a local Indian TV channel have 5 million dollars with them LMAO )

Too funny! I never knew Duke was so popular in India.

Serious international lawsuit material though? I think not. For what little money a news station could afford to pay out, it's not even worth considering taking to the courts.

That's just being a dick. It's obvious Babe was making a joke.

A cease and desist notice would be the logical thing to do, if 3DR cares about a small Indian TV station using the song. Though, India has a huge population, there'd be a lot of people listening to it.

I'm sure that as soon as George finishes his burger, puts some clothes on and stops playing Fallout 3 he'll do something about it.

rofl, sorry guys but it's clear and understandable that such comments are made as we gamers did wait so much time and all he did was big talk, that's why he is ordering toilet paper from amazon i guess, too many angry gamers perhaps? lol

So what your saying is that we have to totally be in love with George to post here?

Some of the forumers are looking like that "Leave britany alone" guy on youtube. I'll bet we will see a video of one of fans dressed up as Duke crying "LEAVE GEORGE ALONE".

Because we enjoy watching train wrecks.

The big question is why are you guys here? You know... the ones that, for some inexplicable reason, still pay adulation to this guy who, in real life, probably wouldn't even allow you to wash his car. He's not your friend guys. He made a lot of money on a game 13 years ago and has been doing frak-all since. Why on earth would you defend him?

In your opinion. Duke 3D was a great game, and he deserves high praise for it. But that doesn't change the fact that (apparently) his "leadership" on the DNF project was less than effective.

I've been doing a job I love for the last 9 years, (IT guy at an insurance company), have practically eliminated network downtime, standardized all OS and applicatons installations, incorporated RAID arrays in all critical server systems, created and maintained all company websites, etc. Those are the real-world things I've done.

And he's a better person than I because he did something 14 years ago?

Not from where I'm sitting.

It sounds pretty obvious the answer is to give him shit.

Be pretty hilarious if there was a lawsuit and they got the money they needed.

It would be a tale for the ages.

That's nothing special, for an IT guy. But of course if you love your work, it's great. There is nothing to suggest George wouldn't love his job.

And yes, he is better person, he hasn't publically thrown shit at you. Obviously for some people being civil is bit too much asked.

So if one game makes you a better person, then Shigeru Miyamoto is a god among men.

People are frustrated. Some have been following DNF for the full 12 years. Ever since the closure was announced, nothing from GB except for a couple of non-DNF related twitters. For whatever reason he is keeping mum and that only frustrates/infuriates the fanbase even more. He should be happy that the only abuse he's getting is in the form of harmless internet trolling. Is it really a surprise the reaction we're seeing?

BTW - GREAT FIND regarding the DNF 2001 trailer theme!

His tweets might not be just unrelated if you try to read into at least one of them a bit.
The one I am talking about is this one "I ordered paper towels and toilet paper from Amazon via Amazon Prime. Free shipping. Damn, I almost don't need to leaver the house again."
That last part that I marked with red, could actually hint that he is ashamed to show his face in public and he rather stay inside his house aka he has no excuse for his fail.

Ashamed to leave the house? Gawd you people can draw just about any conclusion from abstract thoughts. I had a similar conversation with my wife, it was simple, I can pay all my bills, order video games, DVDs online etc... etc... etc.... I don't have to leave my house anymore. This is all George is commenting about. Sheesh.... thank gawd he didn't comment about the need to buy razors or you might have pegged him as suicidal! LMAO

You're right, it's nothing special for an IT guy. Completing projects on time is nothing special for any competent person. And that is my point.
