As it's been said before: This is a pretty believable rumor, but it's just that, a rumor. Sounds convincing though, specially because of Randy's quote (telling us to wait for PAX).

Yeah, unless an official statement is released before hand... gonna have to wait for PAX. And trust us, the mod team will prepare an official statement and put it up when there is something to comment on.

The QuakeCon Carmack panel ended with a big bang! Some guy's asking about id software picking up Duke Nukem Forever!!! Haha Duke fans everywhere! The Zeitgeist loves Duke Nukem it seems!

WoW that was the best part of the whole panel!

I'm not waiting for any "official" statement here. Game will be in the stores before George and Scott are gonna say anything decipherable.

The pages don't "mention" the rumor. They explain what this rumor is in detail and claims to have anonymous sources. When PAX comes and goes, if we still have nothing, then it's pretty much into the garbage bin with this rumor too.

If a rumor bought up by a forum member with no source then there's really nothing to go on. It's 100% pure speculation with no substance. When there's a reputable website citing it, then there is at least a framework to go by.

It's a rumor about DNF, of course it's going to blow up all over the f***ing net. They always do.
And yes, there are a lot of sites reporting it... but are the people here so "special" I specifically need to say "a lot" instead of a few? No.
Because the point stands valid... it's a rumor.
