Is it really trought…?

This news is a really big surprise for me and many others, both positive and negative news i would say. How can 3DRealms doing this at all? I thought that 3DRealms hade cancelled this Prey game forever so that they could making Duke Nukem forever done as soon as possible? What are the reasons to continue with this game, this game supposed to being cancelled and forgetted for many years ago. This can’t be the game that we have waited so many years on. We are waiting for the release of Duke Nukem Forever and not on any cancelled and forgetted old game like Prey. This Prey game should had being released for many years ago but was never finished at all, is it finished now and ready for a very late release? I don’t understand this at all! And how many years do we have to wait for the release of Prey and Duke Nukem Forever? (the main game) (sorry for my bad English ) A nice answer from 3DRealms would be nice.

I tell ya: DNF will be released when its done. Get on with it, just as I did (and everybody around here...) Theres so many great games to play... I bet its gonna be the same with Prey. But remember, Human Head make Prey, not 3DR, so I hope it wont take them so long (unless they decide to change engine

I just wonder whether 3DR dont fell shamed - HL and HL2 were released and what about this one: Far Cry. The first game of Crytek Studios, their first engine but still totally awesome...

Look north duder, 3D Realms isn't developing Prey, they are producing it. Second of all Prey has been in development since late 2001. Third, 3D Realms have the policy to not annouce games too early any longer.

Oh, and Prey WAS indeed put on hold back in 2000 or so.

It was never cancelled, just "put on hold".

Development restarted in late 2001, with Human Head Studios taking on the project.

It is nothing to do with DNF, will be released entirely separately and has no real impact on DNF's development.

Yeah I know that this game have being put in hold, and that it would wait to after the release of DNF and that they continue the work after that. It should be fine that another developer has continue sense 2001 so this game would be release really soon I’ll hope, and not waiting for 2-3 more years. I think we have waiting enough for games coming from 3DRealms. They seams to having really big problem to having their games finish up and done. Why don’t they hiring more peoples who are working on DNF, perhaps 10-15 more peoples, that would finish the game much more faster. We have to wait and see about DNF and Prey.
