Graphic Novel Problem
My computer is a Gateway, 450 MHz with the standard video drivers and such - STB Velocity 4400 version 4.0. Max seems to be running fine so far except for one big problem: the graphic novel transition screens don't work. I hear Max talking but the pictures don't - I get nothing but white. Though, you can tell it's trying to work because the white blocks are, I presume, the sizes of the graphic novel sections. Help!!

Re: Graphic Novel Problem
It sounds like a driver problem with your graphics card, ensure you have the latest from the menufactures website.

Re: Graphic Novel Problem
Yes, go to Gateway and check for updated drivers there first. After that, go find the video card manufacturers website. I also have a Gateway, and the drivers they have for my card are out of date. They never updated them to the release which actually supports DirectX 8. I actually went to a bulletin board I found for my card (www.rage3d.com for an ATI card). They not only had the official drivers available but a boat load of "leaked beta" drivers. I ended up using the latest beta because bugs in several games had been fixed since the last official release. I ended up with no graphical anomalies on this game. Now if I could just get some better sound card drivers...

Re: Graphic Novel Problem
Thanks. That's what is was. I started looking for a driver yesterday but got sidetracked. I found it tonight.

Re: Graphic Novel Problem
I have this same problem but I already had the most updated drivers. The only solution that worked for me was running it in 1024x720. Lucky for me, it is the only game I have that actually runs smoothly in that resolution. I have an Nvidia Vanta card. Is there something else I could do that would let me run it in 800x600? It is so much better (I think anyway) in that resolution.
