Old DNF assets in Prey?

Now, Joe, be honest:
I've had a sneaking suspicion that old DNF assets were recycled for use in Prey to speed development.
Examples:
The Prey 'assault commanders'
The parasites are too similar to octabrains
The casino machines could easily have come from Vegas portions of DNF

This isn't a bad thing, per se - I liked Prey a lot. I just am curious...

Wouldn't this be a better question to ask Human Head? They developed it, not 3DRealms. Which is why this isn't true.

Also, I THINK that the models weren't even close enough to the originals to even be an old version of DNF.

Honestly? Nothing - Human Head did all that work.

If anything would have survived (and it didn't), it would have been old Prey materials. Not DNF stuff. You're thinking too hard here.

Wow - thanks for the reply, Joe. It's pretty cool that you guys are so active in the community. Duke was my favorite game for years. Me and my brother are 90% sure buying it just to revisit our favorite character. Rock on - whatever happens.
