Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
Probably we can not understand why we do not know the whole truth about this matter and "knowing" the 3drealms not say never ...

2. 3DRealms is a mess. They have little or no collateral. They are an extremely high-risk investment. I mean, look at what products they've made in the last 10 years (hint: nothing). A bank is going to take one look at their finances and probably show them the door. |

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
They've had income from Max Payne and Prey, and various DN3D ports, but somehow I don't think that would be enough to convince any lender that they'd be a safe investment.

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
I know they have had income, and they are well known and very popular games. Just poking fun of him, because despite the fact that they are well known and popular, he still couldn't remember to use them as examples.

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
He's right. They've done nothing. Sure, they've produced(not developed) some games, but the discussion is going around giving them a loan for an in-house development. And in-house they haven't developed anything for more than a decade. Well, except Duke 3d port.

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
True, but if we are talking finances, those games they outsourced development for still generated revenue for the 3DR entity.

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
3d realms would never be able to secure a sizable loan through a major bank. simply put, they are not a publicly traded company so there is no collateral to secure the loan other than property.had 3d realms of went public in the late 90's they could have issued convertable c-notes to secure a large loan of this size.c-notes are the most popular form of collateral to a bank because if the borrower files bankruptcy then the bank would be first in line over shareholders to collect payment.Mr Broussard would have also been fired many years ago if his company ever went public

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
Id would be bad they made Doom but they are all about gore no storyline. Id has not made a good game in a good while. There are better places like valve. Id is not a good choice and plus nobody will do it.

Re: Who do you think DNF will go to?
Is that a joke? The only one of those developed by Id is Quakelive, not counting RAGE which won't be out for (at the very least) half a year.
