Shadow Warrior lockup
I compiled Shadow Warrior today with Open Watcom 1.2, and I linked it with the DOS32A extender. The compiling gone smooth. But when I copyed it to my sw dir, and I started it, it locked up at the 3D Realms title screen.
I tried this executable on my DOS gaming PC, and it works perfectly. What's the problem? My machine is: AMD Sempron 1,3 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, GeForce FX 5500, WinXP pro. The DOS gaming machine is: P3 800 MHz CPU, 128 MB RAM, GeForce 2, FreeDOS. |

Re: Shadow Warrior lockup
Hello,
Try this: Re: Shadow Warrior Source won't compile. I successfully compiled and ran the sw.exe under openwatcom 1.6 beta. Note: I also ran cli2nop on the executable (cli2nop -p sw.exe) it should say '47 occurrances'. I ran vdm sound to get the game to run. (highlight sw.exe, right-click, select 'run with vdms' go with defaults) I'm running windows xp pro Have Fun! Look in the thread 'Shadow warrior source won't compile' and download the attached file & follow the instructions listed above! Have Fun! |

Re: Shadow Warrior lockup
cli2nop replaces all of the 'cli' instructions with 'nop' instructions in the
specified executable, running a older game with cli2nop ran first will probably stutter. |
