Part 2 Chapter 1 - Confused

I have killed everything I can find, gotten all the ammo and guns there are, and blown up all the gas tanks. I went into the place with the Captian Baseball Bat-boy comic, looked all around there, and still nothing.

My question is how the hell do I get out of this place? The elevation (?) has been opened, and I have gone in and pressed all around it and nothing. I have tried blowing up the grate, and 3 vents in the main hall... what do I do?

Update: I found the damn switch, the glare from the sun did not let me see anything. Sorry =(
