Lethe and Nacho, I don't think the purpose of this was to tease about Prey 2 as much as to reveal the existence of Radar Group and what they are working on. The website probably was taken down again because it went online to early. That particular piece of Prey 2 concept art was available by clicking on the Prey 2 logo in the projects page on the Radar Group website. A Google cache version of that very same projects page can be found in the first update to this Duke4.net new article. Although the links won't work so you can't see the art work there or the descriptions of the 3 revealed games.

However the 2nd update to that news article links to another article with descriptions of the 3 games, seemingly provided by Scott Miller, at least there is a Scott Miller quote concerning Incarnate.

The first level you played in Prey was originally planned to be a "flashback" later in the game. But at the last moment, it was decided to present the game in a chronological order.

Maybe this time they will drop you in the "middle" of the game (where you fight aliens on earth?) and fill in the gaps from the Prey ending later?

Just for the record: I am PC gamer, and i do not have and do not plan to get a PS3.

By that reasoning, would you say it's likely that Prey 2 is going to introduce some sales system where only people that have bought/played the first game are allowed to get the sequel?

You mean like Final Fantasy VII on the Playstation? Really, it's not like it hasn't happened multiple times in the past.

Final Fantasy 7 wasn't a sequel to 6. Each Game (almost) in the Final Fantasy series is a stand alone game with its own story.

Prey 2 is a direct sequel, you'd need some knowledge of the first to get the 2nd for the full experience.

To 1) I don't think this has anything to do with it.
(Normally) every game must be playable without knowing what happend in the first game. Otherwise you can lose lots of costumers.

To 2) Yep, this is properly the main reason.

Or maybe the engine they use, has known problems with the PS3.

However I am fine with it, i was just wondering why they wouldn't have as many as possible potential buyers.

Doesn't make a difference to fans. As someone who didn't own a PSX back in it's original days I was a bit annoyed. The point is franchises jump consoles all the time, and I would actually be mystified if Prey 2 *wasn't* on the PS3.

Why does it say "in cooperation with" instead of "by"?

Maybe it is just beacause they want to accentuate the relation between the Radar Group and the developer, but it could also mean Human Head just helps an unannounced developer with story elements and such.

Maybe I should not read to much into things.

Six months later I think. I still remember it from watching the youtube vid posted before. Spoiler:

Anything could have happened in that time. Tommy could be seeing the bar for the first time after his release from jail. The findings were sealed by the white house according to the radio pending further investigation although they referred to the events as a natural disaster iirc.

Which is really strange considering it's not like the 360 does something these games will need over the PS3. Considering Prey's lack of interest online, it's mostly just a Doom 3 engine single player shooter. How odd that they won't make a PS3 version.

avatar, PREY's online was actually pretty popular on Xbox Live for a long time. The PC MP died off pretty quickly, but it kept going on Xbox for a long time.
