Max Payne 1 sound files?
Yes, I realize this has probably been posted close to a gajillion times already, but I don't think that anybody's found a solution to it, though.

I've tried getting Command Propmt to start up RasMaker.exe, and it refuses to start. I've tried just double clicking the program, and that didn't work.

So just how do you extract these sound files? It's driving me up the wall, because I've tried a load of way to do it.

This has been covered before.
you don't double click the rasmaker.exe file.
you have to open up a command prompt and go to the directory where rasmaker.exe is. then you type rasmaker.exe and enter.
then go from there.

Plus this is the default way of starting any such DOS promt executable as far as I know.

Well, I got around to that part, and extracted .ras files from the CD. Problem is, there's no sound files. Where on the CD are they?

They are in the "x_music.ras" file. Rip it with Rasmaker.

Re: Max Payne 1 sound files?
That's strange, because I don't see any file or folder on the CD that says 'x_music.ras'. Where did you find that? Is it in a specific folder?

This is strange coz you are searching that in your Max Payne cd. Whereas the file is actually located in the directory on your computer where Max Payne is installed.

Re: Max Payne 1 sound files?
Hah, thanks for clearing that up.

Also, is there any way I could get the graphic novel wavs in the same way? As in, are they somewhere lurking in the .ras files, too?

Hi. I'm looking for audio files from the game. Can someone help me? I'm only looking for the baby crying, the lullaby, and the wife crying audio files. I need them for halloween. I'd appreciate help (please!).
