Who dreams of DNF?
Just an innocent question here, how many of you have had a dream about playing DNF? I know I'm not the only one.

Me - The game looked like shit but the gameplay was superb! I'm sure with the next media release the graphics in my dreams will dramatically improve

Re: Who dreams of DNF?
It's kinda creepy, but I've dreamed of DNF five or six times.
The only time I've dreamed of a game before was Daikatana. |

I have dreamed it, but, as with most dreams , I've forgotten everything about it

I've dreamed of DNF twice - sorry to say that both times the game kinda sucked...or at least, I was terribly dissapointed. Weird, cause I'm really not expecting that...so maybe it was just more of a nightmare

btw. excuse my silly question, I'm german, but is it "dreamed of" or "dreamed about" ??? In german we say "getraeumt von". That's "dreamed from" in english. |

People think too much of DNF. So much that it became the holy Graal.

Re: Who dreams of DNF?
I dreamed of DNF once two years ago.
For the rest, I haven't dreamt of any game... except the last 2 nights I dreamed about Myst 2: Riven, that I solved a puzzle |

I do not dream of DNF!
Ok, but I'm not a die-hard Duke fan, solely a regular fan @Pec: I'm also from Germany. http://dict.leo.org is a very good online dictionary. |

It's "dreamed of" and "dreamed about". Both versions are possible in english. But does anyone know where the difference is? The dictionary doesn't say anything about it. Quote:
I have looked it up. So it's "I have dreamed" (=past perfect) and "I dreamt" (=simple past). |

the way I understand it is, we dream OF people, or places and dream ABOUT things/items. English doesn't make a lot of sense.

In German it is similar. The common version is "traeumen von etwas oder jemandem" (=dreaming about/of something/someone). Another uncommon version is "traeumen ueber etwas, eine Sache" (=dreaming about something, a topic). Examples: "Ich traeume ueber den Tod einer Person." (="I dream about the dying/death of a person.") "Ich traeume vom Tod einer Person." (same as above) "Ich traeume von Dir." (="I dream of you.") Quote:

Those of you dreaming about DNF are a bunch of...
I'm "obsessed" with Kurt Cobain and I don't even dream of him, so check your state of mind. |

Re: Who dreams of DNF?
I've never dreamt of DNF, but I once had a dream where Duke came flying with his jetpack and saved me from getting crushed by elephants. I think I posted about that dream before when I first had it.

I literally had a dream that DNF was released a few months ago and that I was thoroughly impressed. Maybe it's another premonition!

Oh, I've been having a lot of DNF dreams as of late. It's weird, too, since I'm not really that big of a Duke fan these days.

Re: Who dreams of DNF?
Nope, never dreamt of DNF. I rarely dream about video games, although I did once dream about the Jet Li game. And last night I dreamt I was playing TES4:Oblivion. It was pretty good, the graphics weren't too bad. The physics were the best part about the game, I hit a chandelier and it hit some girl in the back. And a knight kept throwing javelins at me.
hmmm...

I dreamed more times that i am standing in front of the 3d realms office. Than i went to the ghost mode and passed the reception. With my wall hack i passed the closed door :-) Inside the office i watched what the 3d realms members do.
HELL ! Very interesting, I swear :-) |

Re: Who dreams of DNF?
I once had a dream about DNF. it was pretty cool, but it was only an early build and some interactive elements had no sound. But there was some plot line in the dream and it involved babes and general graves actually being holographic projecting death-bots....
Pretty cool as i remember.... the post might still be on here somewhere....
