Trouble Installing Sierra's "Manhunter SF"

Trying to install Sierra's old adventure game "Manhunter SF" from 1989 on my '95, which will take almost anything no later than '95 and can't get it to install...well, actually, I have managed to copy the files to the hard drive...no problems there...but when I try to start the game, I get an error message: "bad command." I was really hoping to resurrect this game, which I haven't played for at least ten years. It was pretty good for that era, as I recall.
