Message to SkavenRMD
hello

I'm looking for the man (or the men) who have draw the illustrations for max pain & max pain 2. Do you know a website where we can see all the work of this man ? I love the paintings between the scenes. Iwant to know more about this work.

Thank you

1. They are not painted but edited photographs.
2. You should email Skaven instead of posting here. He rarely reads this forum.

If you are talking about the graphic novels, they were created by Marko Leinonen and Sami Saramäki.

I didn't know RMD people even browse these forums these days. I thought they were completely hibernating for their next "breakthrough" project.

Heh, still here.

But admittedly, I haven't been that active writing messages. I do read the board.

Oh geez.

Anyway back onto the topic.. the graphic novels were indeed done very well. I've tried many times to try replicate the look but haven't been able to get it spot on.

Eventually.

I know.. those tutorials aren't very good, I can already do far better then any of those tutorials. Point is I'm trying to replicate the look.

imo the 99 version of the GN's looked alot cooler, they were actually filtered photographs blended with actualy hand drawn things. looked lots cooler than the just filtered pics in the release version.

I do not agree with that. They were not clean-looking at all. And reminds me of ameature-quality-comics ........ ah well it wasn't that bad either.

Can you post a picture of those?

Re: Message to SkavenRMD
...And of course you know, Bixen, that particular GN is not what came out as final in MP1. That even shows the old design of Valkyr users with green eyes...

EDIT: I somehow missed that you were talking about the '99 version of GN. So disregard my comment. But by now it is hopefully clear to everybody that there were earlier versions...

Re: Message to SkavenRMD
Hehe np Mika, one of the reasons for removing them from the new version of my site was because you guys (RMD) didn't like being reminded of those old shots (and therefore rejected to send me more for that story bit I did). I love those old shots though, and I think the game would still rock if it looked like that, cause it's a totally different style

Re: Message to SkavenRMD
Oni did it first so you they had to be removed, isn't that correct?
