Im running a 14 slot Team DM server right now. Its located in Dallas on a 6Mb upstream pipe. Should ping beautifully for everyone and anyone is welcome to join at any time. If you do notice any big lag or errors please email me: [email protected]

I'm creating this thread to "weed out" all of the servers that are being hosted by individuals on their hometown dsl connection. Hopefully this will help with a lag free gaming environment.

I got one of those evil "homeservers" with a dynamic IP. It's on Cable with 768 upload. From what I can tell it does pretty well hosting 7 for dm only games. It's called Atlanta Frag...I'm also playing bythe name of Thomas and Mr. Tudball and think I've playeed some of you. Let's make this game work! ...oh yeah. My mapcycle bypasses the two vehicle maps as I've noticed good players leaving servers when they come on.Right now, mapvoting is available but no kick voting for I saw that feature majorly abused in Doom 3...finally,a parting bit of advice. If you are running a public server, disable the "all must be ready" feature in your cfg, as it's highly disruptive to game flow

Ugh. I just tested my connection on the site shown in that link and my upload was an abysmal 233 kbps.

I won't be hosting a dedicated server, apparently.

Thanks guys, for putting up quality arenas for us to frag in. Now we just need to ppl 'em. I saw tons of good servers out there last night and nobody on 'em...oh,one more thing,PB,IMO, really lags a server, I personally have'nt seen any cheating and finally, do you dm servers think it's a good idea to eliminate the shuttle maps from your map cycle. I've noticed a lot of good players leave when these maps are activated and I'm also concerned with the "Shere map" for lag or fps issues. I, personally have left those three maps out my server's regular cycle though they can be voted in if desired

just upped mine to 16 slots. removed the warmup round...i got sick of waiting for noobs to ready up. and i disabled friendly fire as too many fags join up and start tking.
