How can I tell how many saves I have left when playing in Dead on Arrival mode without pressing F5? If you run out of saves is it possible to go back to the beginning of a Chapter?

Strictly speaking, this thread should be in the strategy section.

However, I shall attempt to answer your question. I am unaware of any way to reveal how many saves you have left in DOA. There is probably a command in dev mode, but I wouldn't go out of your way to find it. The game autosaves at the beginning of each level, and quicksaves are saved as seperate slots. You should be able to recover at least 2 save positions, plus return to the beginning of the level.
