Max 1: Max Payne VG Movie

Hello to everybody!

Yes! This is another Max Payne's fan that he wants to make a machinima movie of Max Payne. By the way, good luck Mackerni!

No misteries that I want to do. Why? I love cinema, I've time, I'm bored and I think that real movie is bad. Surely, my movie will be bad too, but at least I'll enjoy making it.

This is I WANT to make (not I'm GOING to make):

A movie of Max Payne videogame with cinematography narrative.
DVD widescreen quality (almost

).
Blurmotion on original cinematics, where it be possible.
AC3 audio.
On-screen english and spanish versions.
English and spanish audio versions.
English and spanish subtitles (yeah, I love work for free!).
A DVD release (free, of course).

I know this is VERY ambitious, so it's a long term project.

At this moment I've a fine working system, so I don't need nothing but one thing: anyone knows how to increase the snowflakes number of original effect? This is not critical for my project, but with blurmotion snow storm seems very poor.

Of - first of all... YOU DID READ the other thread of Mackerni's??? DIDN'T YOU???

I did point out several reasons why this doesn't seem possible... quickly -----> Outdated graphics, no ability to aim accurately while not in standard 3rd person view, character animation is pretty lame (looked cool back in 2001), no real freedom with char animation and it just doesn't look realistic enough.

NOW... if someone where to try and create a GTA IV Max Payne mod movie... THAT could be done A LOT EASIER, thanks to the in-built game renderer and movie maker.

I'm going to wish you luck just like I did the last guy, and believe it or not, the guy before him which was a while back... but I honestly think it won't turn out as good as you expect and will most likely cause much wanted angst and annoyance.

Yes, you're right: graphics and animation are, now, creepy. But I think a little bit more than WoW and, hey! and South Park episode was made with WoW. I don't expect any "quality product", only a "visible product".
The "aim problem" isn't a real problem. On real movies characters are firing to "nothing" lot of time, but editors cut here and there, showing the good guy and bad guy firing and voilá, one is firing to the other. I think that I have it under control.

Hm, Nice Trailer. I like that it isn't horrible gameplay video with hud and only one camera view.

P.S. I made my tribute in 2008. You may watch it here. My Sony Vegas skill was bad. But now i work with MP2 tribute and I think it will be awesome.

Yeah, but it looks a shit load better if you can show our main character Max Payne diving to the left while taking out a bunch of mercenaries with ingrams and see both IN ONE SHOT!!!

If you just have a shot of Max Payne firing, then a shot of mobsters dying... it isn't as engaging to watch.

However, I still wish you luck!!!

It's only preliminar edit. I've to adjust time shots, add sound and more stuff. But there's Max and mobsters on same shot.

I'm working step by step.

Please, someone knows how to increase the snowflake rate on snowstorms? Thanks.

Not bad - but again ---> Max seems to aim like a man with arthritis and wrist pains...

It's too hard to make it seem seemless in my opinion. And what happens if you aim your gun at the bugger and he rolls to the right - you're screwed then.

It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing, or "now good guy shot, now bad guy shot". With some practice, maybe, I said MAYBE, I can shotting to bad guys aiming with mouse.

What do you think about blur-motion?
