Killing the Snake

Dangit! I've finally made it to the last level of ROTT, The Faceoff with Oscuro (sp?) but the bum won't die! I know that you have to shoot him over lava pits, but it has almost no effect! I've even tried cheating and using The Hand of God <heavenly hosts start singing> but it doesn't work! Is there a special weapon I need to use or what? Please help!

Shooting him only makes him stronger, so using the hand of god must make him into some bitch.

Try jumping on his head, and staying there until he is worn out. He will die eventually, and not hurt you.

You're talking about the human Oscuro, and he undoubtedly speaks about the snake Oscuro. What you'll need to do is to destroy the offsprings of the snake. there are two rooms on the left and right of the beggining of the last level, there are larvae eggs there, you'll need to blast them, then, behind the snake chamber, there is a small room with an exit to another eggs chamber, the best way to go there is to fall directly on the mercury mode and to fly there (there is a small wall you'll need to go over), if you missed it, you'll need to get a fire bomb and a fire armor and get near the wall, aim to the floor, and yes, rocket jump

after you got there, there are a lot of baddies hiding there, finish them all, and destroy the eggs, then go back to the snake and kill him, you can only hurt him when its on the fire pits.

and theseus, the way to kill the human oscuro is to avoid him. he'll wear himself out eventually.

Well I finally beat the Boss and saw both endings to ROTT!

I think hitting him when he's not over a lava pit makes him stronger...in my save game that I used the Hand of God in, Oscuro is practically invincible! Thanks for the help though

Thanks, but I read what I'd written first, so I knew before you corrected me on my completly correct answer. Next time I get another thing write, please correct me again, with a re-itteration or what I'd already written so that I know that in my rightness I am wrong by being right.
