\'She dyed her hair red\'
... it's written on the wall in the Noir York. I vaguely remember the quote from some horror flick, but can't recall the title and google isn't very helpful either. Is it only my imagation that I'd seen it before?
'reddrum'/'murder' combo is undoubtely from 'The Shining' and a vast amount of parodies. Although 'redrum' is misspelled, as one can see:].

Since you say it is written on the wall, I am going to assume that you don't know that the first appearance of the quote in the game is from "Address Unknown."

If you really heard it from a horror movie though, then I have no idea...

Right before the big end battle there is a bed in the mansion with flat screen TV's, they got that from the movie Hannibal.

And the painting in the mansion is Raphael but they might have modified it, I posted the original painting and the one from the game side by side here.
