Best actor for Max Payne movie?
Everyone put who they think would be the best for the Max Payne movie...if there is one, and why they think that person would fit the role best. I think Mel Gibson would do good, like in the movie Payback, kinda fits that grungy "shoot shit up" role, IMO.

Re: Best actor for Max Payne movie?
Well guys,
I think Arnie or Bruce Willis would suit the job. Arnie is deadly with guns seeing the arsenal of weapons that Max Payne has and when he is wild even a rat isn't spared.
On the other hand Bruce Willis has got the guts and he talks deadly like a true cop in the Die Hard series. This guy is deadly with a handgun(Beretta in Max Payne) and bombs. It will be interesting to see how he handles bigger weapons.

That's about it.Reply with your comments.

Ok, but Arnold Schwarzenegger can't really pull off a New York accent. Everybody thought having Sam Lake play Max with a Finnish accent was a bad idea, so what would make this a good one?

James Mcaffrey... How important was the voice of Max Payne for you guys?? I loved that voice, it was ... well for lack of a better word, sexy.. He's already an actor, so what's the difference if he actually does it in the movie?

That dude needs the support.. He's been on "viper" for too long now, give him a movie...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Maybe the fact that he's a bad actor? Anyway, Max is cool in a game, because it's almost ironic towards these movies. The movie will probably be downright bad though... not as bad as the Duke movie though, PG-13 with some lameass ego actor... my GOD that's gonna suck...

Bruce Willis won't do those kind of action movies anymore. Ever since the Columbine shootings, he has sworn (in his words) "Not to add further to a culture that worships violence". So he's been trying to work on more dramatic roles.

My votes Go for the following:
Brad Pitt
Ray Liotta
to some degree Jeff Bridges
Or maybe just Dub over Sam Lake, like they did in the real game.

How about Guy Pearce?
He looks kinda like Max (his hair is normally a really dark brown), but I don't think the looks are the most important part anyways.
Rent the movie Memento, he can definitely play Max Payne.

There's a movie on called The Pawn (1998) starring a guy named Greg Evigan (yes, the guy from My Two Dads). This guy IS Max Payne. From the looks, right down to the leather jacket. This movie even involves corrupt cops and the Russian mob.

I don't know if this is a movie that can be rented, but keep an eye out for it. The guy certainly deserves to be in the running.

Max Payne looks like Sam Lake and sounds like James McCaffrey, so the most obvious choice would be have him played by Sam Lake and dubbed by James McCaffrey.

I think if Bruce Willis grew his hair back and wasnt such a ***** anymore, he would make a kickass max payne. He really ruled in the die hards and the fifth element... but he really sucks now with movies like the kid.

If theres ever a movie about an old version of Max Payne, the guy from Death Wish would rule. Is he dead yet?

Well, I'll probably get slapped for this, but:

Michael Vartan could, if given the chance, exude that vulnerable yet pissed off Payneness. And why do they have to look exactly like the character in the game? As long as they're capable of portraying the man, I'll be happy.

Re: Best actor for Max Payne movie?
bruce willis grow his hair back? HE HAS NO FREAKING HAIR TO GROW BACK!!! 10 years ago he might have been able to pull it off, but now with an 18 inch forhead even arnold could do a better job. i mean, did u see him in commando?? he lifted a phone booth out of the ground and THREW it at some1. but no dubbing, the austrian accent must stay.

ok ok, in all seriousness, guy pearce looks like he could do it, mel gibson is kinda old but possibly. and plz baskinator, your suggestion for mona? cum on, her face looks like a ****ing halloween mask shes so damn ugly. and mona has black hair, but she appears like 2 times so pretty much ne chick actor could do it. eg. lucy lawless (may i suggest a cut scene to add where she back flips and stabs some one?), the tomb raider chick...whats her face....the one with the huge lips....every one thought she had sex with her brother....she did some softcore lesbian scenes in some movie a while back. (u get the point)

Re: Best actor for Max Payne movie?
Well, the guy has to be no older than 30. Max looks like a young dude, that leaves out the past crop of action stars who are all past 40 and closer to 50. Whoever suggested Arnold is insane.

Greg Evigan???? He not only did a crappy sitcom, but he did an equally crappy 70's TV series called BJ and the Bear. He is a B-grade actor at best. Though he's always looked good for his age, he's starting to look old. Next people will be suggesting George Clooney.

Val Kilmer doesn't even look like Payne!

Simply awful suggestions.

The only decent one was Guy Peirce. He has the look and the attitude.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Dear god no! It would take more time trying to sync in the voice over then trying to make the damn movie.

I reckon McAffrey himself could pull off the job, he IS the voice and he can do that "I don't give a shit" look as well... let him do it.

Also Guy Pearce as Max? Nope don't think so... he has too much of an Australian accent.

Re: Best actor for Max Payne movie?
Well there are only 3 there that i see that might fit the role but not 100 percent and well the guy who used his voice for max payne ill judge him to play in it or not when i see a picture of him and here are those who might fit the role in the topic:

Guy Pearce
Michael Vartan
Peter Kraus

and putting the rest in the role of max payne is as about as smart as one of the movie makers was thinking about to put Nicolas Cage in the role of a new superman movie that some studio is gona make obviously many here have no idea that the actor MUST look like max payne and he does not have to be a famous actor just look like him and have some tallent obviously those who asked for bruce willis as max payne do not have a brain nor tallent to see the movie wouldnt even get 1 dime if he would be acting him he doesnt look like him and does not have the charachter!
