.anm and .art files
I would like to know what program to use to edit an .anm file. They are the ones that store the end of episode movies (Except Ep. 1) the beginning of episode movie (Ep. 4), and the opening logo of a missile flying into a nuke symbol, and exploding. I know there is ShowAnim, but I want an editor.

I've looked in the resources thread, searched the Internet and still couldn't find anything.

I would also like to know a list of programs to view and edit .art files.

So far I know:
  • EDITART
  • DukeResART
  • bastART
  • GRPViewer (somewhat)

Also, is there a port of EDITART for Windows?

OK, I have Wally now, but what about .anm files? I heard about something like "DeluxPaint", but I don't know.

Yes there is. Go here http://rtcm.thecomitatus.com/eduke/ and get
eduke 2.1.1, inside is an Editart That works and you can creat many many more .art files.
Now on my system, i also need dos4GW.exe for the editart to work.

On what, the new release? Thanks. Also, for anyone looking to run Editart, try running it in DOSBox. Having it in a window is handy.

The only tool I know of for .anm files is pcx2anim and its counterpart anim2pcx.

Re: .anm and .art files
Okay, so I go to the RTCM Art Tools Download section, and laid out nicely in front of me all the .art and .anm tools I could ever want. I now have:

For .art:
  • EDITART (I'll try DOSBox)
  • DukeResART
  • bastART
  • GRPViewer (somewhat)
  • Wally

For .anm:
  • DeluxPaint
  • Show Anim
  • ANMtoPCX
  • PCXtoANM
  • Play.exe

Thanks for your help, everybody.

Also, I did see an OpenGL EDITART on that page.
