Operation Neptune

This game won't run anymore, even on my old 95. I found it being offered on Amazon, which lists it as running on Windows XP. Does anyone have this version? Will it will run on Windows 7?

It's been 20 years since I first got this game from The Learning Company, involving a miniature sub searching for pieces of a space probe that crashed into the ocean. Sometime later, my sister had an updated version for Windows, which had totally different opening and play levels. Now she can't find her copy of this newer version. This is the same company that put out Ancient Empires, another of my first experiences with PC games. My version of that still runs.

While it is old-style 2D, the graphics are fantastic. I haven't really found anything like it or ON since.

Most DOS games still being sold like this are packaged up with the DOSBox emulator, so that they work unchanged on modern PCs. If you still have your original game files, download DOSBox and run it through there.
